Confined Space Training

Circle Safety & Health Consultants provides Confined Space Training courses that allow you or your workers to meet the intent of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.146 (permit-required) and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA.

OSHA requires all individuals who work in or around confined spaces to take an approved safety course.
Our confined space training course will allow you to:

  • Understand the scope and intent of OSHA’s confined space standards
  • Learn how to safely work in a confined space
  • Gain a basic knowledge of confined space tools and equipment
  • Identify a “confined space” and determine if OSHA requires a permit
  • Understand the responsibilities of the entrant, supervisor, and the rescuers

Many trades can benefit from this training course, some of which include:

  • Construction workers
  • HVAC technicians
  • Electricians
  • Plumbers
  • Firefighters
  • Emergency response personnel
  • Safety technicians
  • Pipeline workers

Training courses vary in length from:

  • Awareness—2 hours
  • Qualified Entrant—4 hours
  • Competent Person—6 hours

Total course cost can vary depending on geographic location (where the class takes place) and class size.

  • Awareness — $600- $800
  • Qualified Entrant —$1,400-$1,800
  • Competent Person — $1,600 – $2,000

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (permit-required) and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA requirements do not specify a recertification time period. However, OSHA does stipulate that employers are required to review their permit program annually, and employee rescue personnel are required to take part in practice rescues at least once a year.
