Kathy Redfern

 
bio-kathyKathy began consulting with Circle Safety in August 2007 on a federal application project. She became a full-time member of the team in February 2008. Today she provides consultation services to our construction, industrial, and public sector clients. Kathy has experience with safety auditing of commercial construction, excavation sites, and homebuilding projects. She also supports these companies with the development of comprehensive safety systems.

Her previous work experience includes insurance property and casualty accident investigations, project management for a development firm responsible for compliance of safety audit issues, information technology, human resources administration and business consulting.

She holds a BA from Randolph-Macon College and a Post-Baccalaureate Information Systems Certificate and Master of Business (MBA) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a national member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). She served as President of the ASSE Colonial VA Chapter 2011-2012, and was awarded the Chapter’s Safety Person of the Year (SPY) Award in 2012. She is an authorized OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer, an authorized ASHI CPR/AED and First Aid instructor, and an approved VADMME General Mineral Miner (GMM) instructor.

For several years, Kathy has been involved in community activities as a volunteer in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), as a construction team member at Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build, and at Mesa Vista Farms – Therapeutic Horse Riding. She is a lifetime member of the Tuckahoe Jaycees.
